Cake Icing

5 T. flour
1 c. milk
Cook until thick. Cool.
Cream 1/2 lb. butter and add 2 c. powdered sugar and 2 tsp. vanilla.

Whip hard until it looks like whipped cream. Add flour mixture by 1 T. at a time and blend well.
