Ritz Cracker Dessert

Crust:

80 Ritz crackers (2 rolls) (crushed)

1 stick margarine, melted

1/2 nuts, crushed (walnuts or pecans)

Mix together crushed crackers, saving 1 cup for topping, with melted margarine and nuts.  Press into 9x13 pan firmly.

Filling:

2 packages (4 serving size) instant vanilla pudding

1 1/2 cups milk

1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream (soften slightly in microwave or sit out of freezer for a few moments to soften) In a mixing bowl with electric mixer, slightly mix milk and pudding, then add all of the ice cream.  (Don't mix the pudding too long before adding ice cream).  Beat until smooth and creamy.  Pour over crust. Let stand until slightly firm.  Sprinkle top with the reserved cup of cracker crumbs.  Refrigerate until firm. Serve.
